Consign

Turn your little one’s outgrown clothing into cash through our consignment program! We accept items from all seasons, all year round. Consignment drop-offs are welcome any time during business hours. 

All consigned items must be freshly laundered, free of stains, odours, excessive wear, pet hair, and damage. Clothing should be folded neatly and brought in a box, tote, or bin. Please ensure all snaps, zippers, and buttons are fastened before drop-off. Every item is carefully inspected to ensure it meets our quality and aesthetic standards before being accepted for sale.

At Lil Sprout Consignment Co., the safety and comfort of children always come first. While we carefully review each item, we are not product safety experts and cannot repair or verify recalled merchandise. Please do not bring any items that may be unsafe or compromised in any way. We reserve the right to decline any item that does not meet our standards for quality, safety, season, or condition.

If an item is not accepted, you may choose to take it back with you or have it donated on your behalf to Wings of Providence. 

We love boutique, small-shop, handmade, and locally made brands, but we also happily accept popular brands such as Jax+Lennon, Parade Organics, Zara, H&M, Gap,  and more — as long as the items are in excellent condition and aligned with our shop style.

Our mission is to create a welcoming space where families can shop sustainably, earn money back on quality children’s clothing, and give beautiful items a second life. We’re so excited to support our local community and grow alongside all the amazing parents and little sprouts we meet along the way.

How Do I Consign?

Once you’ve gathered your items, bring them to Lil Sprout Consignment Co. during our designated consignment hours. 

Before dropping off your items, please review our Consignment Agreement. A signed copy can also be completed in-store during your first consignment drop-off.

Consignment Standards

All items must be:

Lil Sprout Consignment Co. reserves the right to decline items that do not meet our shop standards. Unaccepted items may either be returned to you or donated on your behalf to a local family-focused organization.

Because we process many consignments, please allow approximately 1–12 for accepted items to appear online or in-store. Off-season items may be held and listed at a more appropriate time of year.

How Do I Get Paid?

Consignors receive:

Store credit can be used toward any items in the shop and is a great way to refresh your little one’s wardrobe sustainably.

If you selected the 30% e-transfer payout option, you may request a payout at any time through your consignor account.

Payout requests are typically processed within up to 14 days.

If you selected 40% store credit, your balance will automatically remain available on your account to use toward future purchases in-store or online.

CONSIGNMENT ACCEPTANCE

Lil Sprout Consign Co. reserves the right to refuse any item for any reason.

Lil Sprout Consign Co. accepts gently used and approved new children’s clothing and footwear at the Store’s discretion.

    Accepted items will remain on consignment for a period of 90 days from the date they are processed into inventory unless otherwise stated by the Store.

    At the end of the consignment period, unsold items may:

    • Be donated
    • Be discounted
    • Be returned to the Consignor if arranged in advance

    The Consignor is responsible for picking up any approved return items within 30 days of notification.

     PRICING

    All pricing is determined solely by Lil Sprout Consign Co. based on brand, condition, demand, seasonality, and market value.

    The Store reserves the right to:

    • Adjust prices at any time
    • Discount items during promotions or clearance events
    • Bundle items for sale purposes

    COMMISSION & PAYOUTS

    The Consignor will receive 30% of the final selling price of sold items as e-transfer or 40% as in-store and/or on-line credit. *Please note, you can do both, requesting a payout at anytime.*

      Payout schedules: Up to 14 days after payout request is received.

       ITEM RECALLS & SAFETY

      The Consignor confirms that all consigned items:

      • Have not been recalled
      • Meet current Canadian safety regulations
      • Are safe for resale

      Lil Sprout Consign Co. reserves the right to immediately remove and dispose of recalled or unsafe items.

       LOSS OR DAMAGE

      While Lil Sprout Consign Co. will take reasonable care of all consigned items, the Store is not responsible for loss, theft, fire, flood, accidental damage, or other unforeseen circumstances.

      All items are consigned at the owner’s risk.

      AUTHORIZATION

      The Consignor confirms that:

      • They are the legal owner of all consigned items
      • All information provided is accurate
      • They have read and agreed to the terms of this Agreement

      DONATION POLICY

      Any items not accepted for consignment or not collected within the agreed timeframe may be donated to Wings Safehouse & Support, or disposed of at the Store’s discretion. (See about page for what Wings does for woman in our community).
